Caribbean Association of St. Louis

Celebrating Caribbean Culture in St. Louis since 1985

Who we are…

Founded in 1985 in St. Louis, MO, we are a dedicated 501(c)(3) non-profit organization open to all residents of the Greater St. Louis Metropolitan Area who have a genuine interest in Caribbean culture. We warmly invite you to attend one of our meetings, participate in our community activities, and join us in celebrating and sharing the richness of our heritage.

Our mission is to enrich the Greater St. Louis Metropolitan Area by fostering awareness and appreciation for the vibrant culture and heritage of the Caribbean. We aim to share these cultural treasures through strategic partnerships and collaboration with local organizations, all while benefiting our community and enhancing the quality of life for residents in both our local and Caribbean countries of origin.

Connecting Cultures. Supporting Families. Serving Our Community.

The Caribbean Association of St. Louis (CASTL) is a service-based community-rooted 501(c)(3) nonprofit dedicated to uniting and uplifting Caribbean people living in the Greater St. Louis area. Through cultural celebration, community service, and charitable outreach, we are proud to support Caribbean families both locally and abroad.

Our Mission

At CASTL, our mission is to foster community among people of Caribbean heritage, celebrate our vibrant cultures, and provide vital support to Caribbean families in need—particularly those seeking medical care in St. Louis. We are committed to making a difference through partnership, generosity, and cultural pride.

What We Do

Medical Support & Family Care

In partnership with World Pediatrics, we help provide support to Caribbean families whose children come to St. Louis for life-changing surgery. During their stay at the Ronald McDonald House, CASTL provides warm hospitality—including our Meal from the Heart—offering comfort, care, and connection far from home.

Community Roots at Bell Garden

As proud members of the Bell Community Garden, CASTL strengthens our connection to nature, wellness, and local collaboration. We host occasional meetings in this beautiful shared space, reinforcing our belief in nurturing community from the ground up

Scholarships for people of Caribbean Heritage

CASTL is proud to support education through a book scholarship for students of Caribbean heritage. While past scholarships have helped young scholars pursue their goals, we are excited to announce more scholarship opportunities coming soon—stay tuned!

Community Events

We believe in the power of gathering. Our annual events are a chance to connect, celebrate, and share our culture:

  • CASTL Annual Picnic – A festive day of food, music, and togetherness for members and guests.

  • Annual Christmas Celebration – A joyful time to reflect, reconnect, and give back.

Festival of Nations

For over 15 years, CASTL has proudly participated in the Festival of Nations, one of St. Louis’ largest cultural celebrations. As long-time vendors, we share Caribbean cuisine, heritage, and hospitality—raising essential funds for our programs and building bridges with the broader St. Louis community.

Join Our CASTL Community

CASTL is more than a nonprofit—it’s a family. Whether you’re of Caribbean descent, a supporter of our mission, or someone who believes in cross-cultural community, we welcome you.
